To Students: Start planning your Guild goals now for the next year! And don't forget to keep a few songs you played at this year's audition in your repertoire so you can play them again on your expanded program next year.
What is the Piano Guild? By being a member of The National Guild of Piano Teachers, a division of The American College of Musicians, my studio participates in annual Piano Guild auditions each spring. The annual audition serves as a musical "checkup" for students. Students recieve a detailed report-card and feedback from a qualified judge. They also receive a certificate, a gold, silver, or bronze pin, and membership to the National Fraternity of Student Musicians for one year. It is an encouraging and motivating program for both average and gifted students. Students may include both classical and contemporary selections on their programs.
